Getting Started
Does DecisionVault replace my CRM / Case Management tool?
DecisionVault is designed to work alongside your Case Management System and Draft Platform.
It provides you with an intake portal to gather information from your clients, which is done in such a way that you can export it or sync it over to your other tools in seconds.
The result of this is a better experience for your clients, and reduced administrative workload of manually re-entering data in all your systems.
Features
Can clients securely upload documents through DecisionVault?
Yes, as part of the intake clients can upload documents for your review.
Can I share files with clients through the platform?
Yes, you can share files with your clients (e.g. draft documents or a scan of the final executed documents).
Are there limits to the document upload/sharing functionality?
While there are no overall limits to the storage of files that are saved under your account there is a reasonable limit to the file size of individual files.
Can my clients fill in the questionnaire from their mobile device?
Yes, the client experience works great on mobile
How do clients receive the link to complete the DecisionVault questionnaire?
There are 2 ways to get the client into the questionnaire:
1) Send them a 'standard' link Each of your questionnaires has a standard link that is not client specific. You can include that link in the email template you send out to welcome new (potential) clients, and when they click the link they're asked to create an account and then can get started on the questionnaire
2) Create the matter and invite the client to it You can also start the matter yourself - for instance to fill in any information you already know about an existing client - and then send the client an invitation to complete the rest of the questionnaire.
How do we handle clients who do not use computers or smartphones?
You can export an empty fill-in version of the questionnaire for print, which you can then have your client fill in on paper. Then someone on your staff can enter the information in DecisionVault.
This way you keep all the information in one place, and only need to enter it once and can sync it to your other tools.
Can both spouses have a login to the same questionnaire?
Yes, you can additional users to have access to the same questionnaire.
Users can also fill in multiple questionnaires using the same account (e.g. Estate Planning, Probate, Business Intake).
And finally - users can seamlessly work with multiple firms using DecisionVault without the firms being aware of this.
Does DecisionVault support two-factor authentication?
Yes, we support two-factor authentication with codes generated through smartphone apps like Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator or Authy.

What happens if I go over the amount of matters included in my plan?
We recognize that demand for your services fluctuates throughout the year. Accordingly, we will average the number of new matters started per month over a 6 month rolling period.
